Hi, I'm Aryan!

I'm Aryan, a Computer Science student at the University of Cincinnati (graduating May 2027), where I'm diving deep into machine learning and AI engineering. Through UC's renowned co-op program, I've gained hands-on experience building production AI systems at SimCare AI in San Francisco, conducting deep learning research at the University of Basque Country in Spain, and data engineering at COPELAND.

At SimCare, I led ML efforts to optimize AI patient simulations for counselor-therapy training, fine-tuning models like Gemini 2.5 Pro, Llama 3.1 8B, and OpenAI to achieve significant improvements in response time and cost efficiency. I've productionized systems using FastAPI, Docker, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure, always focusing on real-world impact.

Beyond the keyboard, I'm a USCF National Master and accomplished chess player. At just 13 years old in 8th grade, I became the youngest State of Ohio G/45 Champion. In 2025, I led the University of Cincinnati chess team to first place in their division at the Pan-American National Collegiate Championship. I've also coached chess globally for Columbus Chess Lessons and Discovery Chess Academy, sharing my passion with students worldwide.

The strategic thinking, pattern recognition, and analytical skills from chess directly translate to my approach in AI engineering—every model I train is like a chess game, anticipating moves and optimizing strategies several steps ahead. Whether I'm fine-tuning LLMs, building computer vision pipelines, or researching neural networks, I bring the same dedication to excellence that earned me a 2258 peak rating and National Master title.
